Are you a dweller?  Psalm 91:1 He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Dwell in Greek = ya-shav which means to live, stay, make your home, settle among.

God has always desires to dwell with His people to sit among them, live within them, and make them His place to call home.  From the beginning in Genesis when God created Adam, His desire was to have a open dialog with him and to dwell in his presence.  Although Adam and Eve fail to keep this perfect relationship with the Father, God never changed His mind about dwelling among us.

Ephesians 3:17-19 lets us in on the secret of dwelling with this passage; “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, maybe able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth and height; and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Paul tells us that being dwelling in God keeps us rooted and grounded in love.  By this we experience the depth of His love, which in turn we share this same love with others.

So I leave you with these questions to ponder. How does Christ dwelling in you affect your words? your actions? and your attitude?

God Bless SDC.

Are you living in Bondage?  Today I want to look at the word Bondage, in the Greek the word is eh-ved. Bondage means slavery, it also refers to life before knowledge of Christ.

Exodus 13:3 Then Moses said to the people, remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for strength of his hand.

Bondage is a spirit that draws us away from God and back into fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind.  When we choose to go back into bondage we negate the blood of Jesus that was shed for our salvation.

The word of God tells us in Galatians 5:1 For freedom, Christ set us free, stand firm then and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery.  Christ died to set us free and separate us from sin.

Ask yourself what am I a slave to? Eating, working out, children, spouse etc.  Anything you allow to drive you and take you from God will be considered an idol.  We can be tricked into bondage with our mindset.  The way we think about things can cause us to go into bondage. We have to be transformed in our mind according to Romans 12:1-2 and not conformed to this world.

If you are living in bondage now and desire to get out, we can help you in that are via our mentoring program and prayer.  God desires to deliver you from the spirit of bondage and the spirit of fear.

God bless you
